Breaux hadn't stopped moving for the entire cycle-if it wasn't reports, it was seeing patients and there had been a steady stream. The medical staff had been a huge help, but the activity was above normal and Breaux had been immersed in his work.

Turning to a female from Astrophysics, "Ankaran flu can take several days, so I'm giving you this," he held a hypospray aloft and gently injected her, "...and you will be off for the next two cycles, I'll enter it in the duty roster...please no strenuous holo activity...it's a mistake many people make." He nodded and smiled and moved to the next of several patients.

A woman from Engineering was next and he moved to her adroitly, "The sixth case of Rugalan fever today, and so you will be spending no less than ten days off cycle," the woman began to protest, "...doctor's orders...and you will find that in about four days time you will feel significantly better, but you need the full time off, so you don't relapse..." Breaux nodded and smiled and moved to yet another patient.

The woman from Security cocked her head to one side and asked, "Rugalan or Ankaran?" Breaux smiled as he lifted a hypospray that had been prepared for him, "Very astute...given the hypospray..." She responded, "Rugalan." Breaux nodded, "Excellent...deductive reasoning...very security-like." Having administered the hypo Breaux moved to another biobed.

"Kamaraazite flu...I thought it was a strain of Ankaran, but you have been suffering too much...your recovery time should be very good, but you'll need these," he handed over several medications, "...and this..." yet another hypospray. "There...on your way to recovery...make certain you take these as scheduled." Breaux placed a hand on the Security officer's shoulder. "Ensign Newman, do you need a hand to your quarters?" He shook his head no and thanked the doctor. "Very well...take it slow...and stay off your feet once you get to your quarters...I've downloaded a suggestion for diet to your comm station in your quarters."

Breaux absent-mindedly took a cup of coffee from one of the med staff as he moved to his office to complete his reports. Pushing aside a padd with a medical study he'd had no time to complete reading, he dove into his paperwork and found relief in the cup of coffee.
