"Where the hell is everybody?" Captain Zanh stood with her hands on her hips, looking at several empty stations on the bridge and still others manned by personnel from the Beta shift.

"What the hell for?"

TC noted the second expletive but kept a straight face. "Whistle stop. The Queen Mary X is docking for a quick delivery of supplies and staff."

"Well, it's about the damned time!" Zanh said, sitting in the Captain's chair rather stiffly.TC noted the 3rd curse.

The Captain was often cranky when her back started to act up. Silence would be the correct strategy under the circumstances. Something they don't teach you during the Kobiyashi Maru.

=^= Meanwhile, several decks below

Zander Blakeslee rubbed his hand over his just shaven skull. Samthia was about to transport from the QEX and he wanted to be right there when she beamed aboard.

He walked briskly, breaking into a trot when the corridor was clear and slowing down when the people traffic was against him. The doors slid open and it struck him oddly that there were quite a handful of personnel, specifically male personnel, crowded behind the glass wall separating the transport dais from control room.

"Alright, everyone not outranking me, clear the room." Zander shouted. The men filed out, clearly disappointed that they would miss the arrival of the Deltan.

"You too." He said to the remaining officer.

"I'm supposed to be here, as Communications officer. Meet and greet, you know." Dane Cristiane protested.Zander didn't have time to argue. The Transporter Chief was initiating the transporter pad.

Over the hum of the Heisenburg compensators, Dane leaned in to the Lieutenant and said conspiratorially, "They say she's beautiful."

Zander smiled. "She's also married."

"Maybe she's got a sister." Dane said hopefully.

The Transporter Chief began a verbal checklist. "Activating transporter one, two, three, four."

*Four?* Zander thought to himself. Suddenly four columns of blue energy began to glow then dissipate into humanoid form."Samthia." He whispered her name through the glass.

His children. Thomas and Johannes, their small forms on pads two and three.

Johannes seated crosslegged, his arms folded across his chest. Thomas holding his small suitcase and doing his best to look brave.

*And Juni?* Zander barely recognized the youngest Wej.

The computer spoke, >Contamination field deactivated.<>

Samthia stepped gracefully from the dias. Wordlessly, but with a smile that could lend light to the darkest corners she reached out and placed her hand over his heart. He grasped it.

"Welcome aboard the Serendipity."

"That's MY line!" Dane protested.

"Kiss me." She whispered. He did, pulling her in tight, but the overwhelming swirling feeling of being in intimate contact made his senses swim and he had to break contact before he lost himself completely.

"Welcome aboard, my Wife."

"Your wife?" Dane said. *Lucky sonofasithlord.* He thought to himself.

Zander turned his attention to Juni, he smiled. She held up a PADD, containing her orders.

"Juni has received her degree in Holistic and Theurapeutic medicine," Samthia said proudly of her younger sister. "She received a last minute posting from,"

Samthia was cut off by her son's voice.

"You mean, they are sisters?" Dane asked incredulously, and to nobody in particular.

"Pater?" Johannes asked, rubbing his eyes, still sitting on the transporter PADD. Zander squatted to scoop a twin into each arm, surprised by how much weight each had gained since his last shoreleave. Thomas dropped his case and just hugged tightly.

"Permission to come aboard." Juni asked officially.

"Permission granted!" Dane exclaimed with far more enthusiasm than was called for. He moved in to relieve the younger Wej of a rather heavy case.
