After having stopped by Sickbay to familiarize himself with the surroundings, Breaux made his way to his quarters on deck three. His stopover in Sickbay was short as he didn't want to intrude on those that were working. He held off on making contact and viewed the facility from afar.

At Avery's quarters, the door slid open to review a larger than expected view portal and a spacious cabin. The gray hues that surrounded him would now be his home.

There was an ample living area complete with an elongated sofa and an oval shaped table. To his right was a desk area with a desk top comm which served as a partition of sorts to the bedroom area. The bunk was within a small enclosed area that afforded a fair amount of privacy. Breaux moved to his left and set his duffel bag down in the single taupe-colored chair, while placing his medical books on the desk.

He stood in the center of the room and slowly spun around to take it all in. He returned to his bag and withdrew a small holo image of the French Quarter, a picture depicting Cafe du Monde, and placed it on the desk. The outdoor coffee shop's image made him long for some cafe au lait and beignets. A bit Spartan. I won't win any awards for decorating." Avery thought to himself.

"Maybe it's foolish, he thought. ˜Maybe I should finish the medical exams and quit obsessing over it, he pondered as he sat momentarily on the sofa. Knowing he should make the rounds and meet the Senior Officer crew, he made ready a clean uniform and took a sonic shower.

Having spruced up a bit, he finished buttoning his tunic and stared into the mirror. He walked to his bag and removed the only other holo image he had brought along, activating it, the small image of Alessa looked back at him, Jackson Square serving as her background.

He wondered momentarily why he thought she would show at Brennan's his last day on Earth-and then he questioned why she had chosen not to show. He flipped the image off and placed it in the back of one of the nearby wall storage units.

One final look in the mirror and he activated the desk top comm to review the Senior Officer crew. Breaux knew that communication was key among crewmates and he wanted to become acquainted with them as soon as possible. Kellyn had been an exemplary example of the type of people he was used to working with.

Reading over the roster, Zanh -a Bajoran woman, Salvek, a Vulcan. Christiane. Lair Kellyn, his supervisor. He scrolled through several more. Breaux flipped through several pages digesting what he could and found himself moving toward information on the Officer's Lounge. Trick London, Fleur Le Marc.

'Amazing,' he said quietly to himself. Avery sat back and uttered, "Gods, I think a trip to the Lounge is definitely in order." He stood, straightened his tunic, rolled down his gray sleeves and and set out to make some friends.
